wednesday wants #6

i tried this on in store a few weeks ago and fell in love instantly. unlike most other 'crown' style floral head dresses, this topshop piece of perfect is set along an alice band which i feel suits me a whole lot better. at £12 i didnt buy it at the time as i felt it was a little bit pricey but now once i've scouered the whole of the internet for an appropriate dupe and came up with nothing im seriously regretting this choice seeing as its completely gone from my local store and nowhere to be found online!

VERY long time no post ❥❥❥

its not been the nicest couple of months.
a lot of personal things have been going on and blogging has had to take a back seat. i kind of hate that. i hate that i let other things and other people get in the way of something i love to do.
but im back. new ideas. new things. almost a new lease of life.

i've got a couple of posts im working on today, i might even put one up later you never know. and im going to shoot some new outfits tomorrow, including an absolutely beautiful vintage 1960s evening dress which im sure you all will love. do i continue with the wednesday wants series? not sure how i felt about that one.

also im now working on a new breif in college based on the 1950s and Mid Century Modernism so im pretty excited to share whats going on with that with you.

lots of love xoxo

this is a scheduled post as i am currently in PARIS!
as i am away for a few days this week, i have been thinking about how desperately i need a new weekend sized bag. and i don't think i could possibly ever find one that i love more than this!!!! my favourite colour of all time is yellow and i am an absolute sucker for anything polka dot!

my new years resolution for 2014 was slightly different to the cliche of 'read more', i decided to go with 'buy more books' as its nice to just have them and see them and collect them and be able to reference them in future rather than reading a tonne of books from the library and never seeing them again.
the 'Vogue On' collection is something i've been very interested in for a long time, but i've chosen the Alexander Mcqueen one specifically as he was my favourite designer for a very long time and i love how well Sarah Burton took over the label after his sudden death, carrying on with creating pieces that continue from where he left off in his style, but are also so very her.

i first heard of saltwater gypsy when one of my favourite bloggers, Courtney from The Style Playlist shared a picture on instagram of her in a kimono she had very kindly been sent by them! i loved it instantly and went straight to their instagram to have a little browse through what they had.. and hundreds of photos later i'd seen it all! i honestly love this so so much, but it is a little pricey for me which is quite upsetting really. it's what my dreams are made of!
